John R. Buzzell
As co-founder of Bearing Point Properties, John leads and oversees all operations of the company with partner Deane Bryson. Under his leadership, the company has been able to grow its core business activities by focusing on quality service, accountability, and integrity. In 2016, John and his team successfully delivered and stabilized a 168-unit apartment project in Livingston Parish, Louisiana.
Prior to forming Bearing Point Properties, John worked in capital markets and investment management. He managed a family office division and IRA administration team, managing over $500 million in assets, including privately-held commercial real estate.
A graduate of LSU, John is also a designee with the CCIM Institute, and a licensed real estate agent in Louisiana.
As an advocate for his community, John serves as a Board Member of the A.C. Lewis YMCA and on the Committee of the annual YMCA Beyond the Green Golf Tournament.
An avid golfer, movie “quotationist,” and devoted dad, John resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, Kelley, and two amazing children Billy Van and Mary Taylor.
R. Deane Bryson
Deane’s first-hand experience and understanding of the real estate industry has been an invaluable asset in the growth of Bearing Point Properties. When not jointly spearheading acquisitions, development and operational campaigns, he is passionately finding unique solutions to routine operational challenges.
Upon graduating from LSU in 2009, Deane enjoyed nearly a decade in real-estate brokerage, with a focus on multi-family sales, underwriting and analysis. During this time, he was actively involved in site selections and market study processes for numerous third-party developments.
In addition to his responsibilities at Bearing Point Properties, Deane has been actively involved in a number of local professional organizations. He is a current Board Member of the Baton Rouge Apartment Association, past President of the Commercial Investment Division of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors, and past Chairman of the 2014 Greater Baton Rouge Trends Seminar, which focuses on comprehensive real estate market conditions in the Baton Rouge area.
An aviation geek, Vizsla companion and Thai food fanatic, Deane resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, Jill.
Mandi M. Dyer
Regional Property Manager
Mandi’s wealth of experience, diverse skills and spirited enthusiasm makes her an integral asset to Bearing Point Properties.
In addition to acting as liaison between tenants and vendors, Mandi oversees the development and monitoring of company curriculums, policies and procedures, as well as the recruitment, training and supervision of other property managers, and the day-to-day operations of leasing, site maintenance, supplies and budget management.
Prior to Bearing Point Properties, Mandi had more than fourteen years’ experience, handling a number of responsibilities from new construction lease ups to heading up marketing efforts toward community exposure.
A fan of the beach, Disney and shopping, Mandi never misses an episode of Shark Tank, and resides in Baton Rouge with her husband and daughter.
Calli’s role at Bearing Point Properties can best be described as the Three P’s: Project. People. Process.
From the initial plans to the final execution, Calli stays actively involved at every phase of a project, which include securing zoning and entitlements, creating schedules and budgets, and making sure everything is built to exact specifications.
Calli graduated from LSU in 2015 with a degree in Biology, and when not handling projects and people for Bearing Point Properties, she volunteers as a Recruitment Specialist for Alpha Phi chapters for universities throughout the South, including LSU, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech.
A lover of dogs, fitness, travel and The Food Network’s Diner, Drive Ins and Dives, Calli and her husband reside in Baton Rouge.
For more than sixteen years, his experience has covered both the construction and architectural industries, with projects spanning across the country, and around the globe.His hands-on experience in design, construction documents, construction administration, owner representation and project management included projects ranging from $150,000 to more than $50 million.As part of the Bearing Point Properties team, Steven has proven to be invaluable in relationship development, as well as insuring each project runs seamlessly from inception through completion.Steven resides in Baton Rouge with his wife and children, and counts travel, sand, sun and ice cream among his favorite things.
